Here is a list of free and low cost concerts, zoo days and other places to take your family that won’t hurt your budget.

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has FREE admission for residents every Monday throughout the summer.
The Holden Arboretum has low cost and free tours available on various days during the summer months. A great place to learn about native trees, flowers and other plants, but also a quiet place to contemplate life’s decisions.
And if the Atlantic is too far of a drive for you, then visit one of the Cleveland Metroparks’ Beaches such as Huntington Beach near Bay Village or Fairport Harbor Beach in nearby Lake County or travel towards Mentor and visit Headlands Beach State Park. There are also other places for families with young children to swim and play in the sand within the Cleveland Metroparks including Wallace Lake near Berea and the Hinckley Reservation located in Medina County and home to migrating buzzards.
